About Us
Jorgensen Family Chiropractic is so named for two reasons: First, because we help people of all ages and abilities find recovery solutions to their health care
challenges, and secondly because it is a closely held Family business, where all the Jorgensens work as a team.
The first person you are likely to meet when you call us or visit our Chiropractic Health Clinic is Shelley Jorgensen, our Office Manager.  She is the smiling face behind the desk and controller of all information, mother of two teens, educated as a K-12 teacher and as a mother over the last twenty years.  She will answer all your questions about insurance and scheduling .  Our son Ryan and daughter Janelle spent several year answering our phone, doing filing. and scheduling appointments when they were in high school, but have since moved on to independent jobs.

Dr. Bruce Jorgensen, Family Chiropractor, takes care of the people portion of this Chiropractic office.  He began his undergraduate course work at Washington State University  and completed his postgraduate Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic in 1989.  After a cross country move to Bellingham, Dr. Jorgensen joined Gibb Chiropractic Offices as an associate, and started Jorgensen Family Chiropractic in 1992.

Dr. Jorgensen wasn’t the best student in high school, but found a reason and a goal when he discovered Chiropractic.  He graduated Magna Cum Laude as Valedictorian of his class, and received the Clinical Excellence Award for that class, and the Milton W. Garfuncle Award for Academic, Clinical, and Philosophical  Excellence in Chiropractic.  (Click to see Curriculum Vitae).  Since his graduation he has worked for two years as an Associate Doctor in Gibb Chiropractic offices in Bellingham and independently at Jorgensen Family Chiropractic since 1992.

Because many of Dr. Jorgensen’s patients are athletic or too energetic, Dr. Jorgensen began his specialty education in Extremity rehabilitation and adjustment in 1994, receiving his certification from the Council on Extremity Adjusting as a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP).  This has allowed him to help stabilize patients with spine and extremity injuries that otherwise may have had to seek harsher surgical remedies.  Removing abnormal stress from the joints of the spine and extremities contributes to the return of normal function after an injury.
